Nestled in the heart of Florence, Hotel Nizza is a delightful sanctuary that embodies the essence of Florentine charm. As I stepped into this historic haven, a sense of tranquility took hold, despite its proximity—merely a stone's throw—from iconic attractions such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and the bustling Central Market. The attentive staff, particularly the warm smiles of Paola and Edi, immediately made us feel at home, enhancing our stay with their genuine friendliness. Breakfast was a highlight—imagine starting your day with freshly baked pastries, local ham, and a selection of cheeses—all perfectly complemented by the rich aroma of Italian coffee. While I would have loved a bit more fresh fruit, the overall spread was a delightful reflection of Tuscan hospitality. Our room, impeccably clean and tastefully decorated in the classic Tuscan-Florentine style, offered the perfect refuge after a day of exploration. The hotel's serene atmosphere was surprising, given its central location; we enjoyed the soothing silence, thanks to soundproof windows that allowed us to sleep soundly. Minor improvements, such as brighter lighting in the bathroom and additional shelving, could elevate the experience even further. In all, my time at Hotel Nizza was a celebration of not just the city's rich culinary and cultural offerings but also the warm embrace of family-run hospitality that embodies Florence. I will certainly recommend this hidden gem to friends and return for another visit.
